FINEJO Women Stripe High Waist Splicing Color Stitching Texture Short Bubble ...

I live outside the U.S., so when ordering clothes online, I have to assume that if it doesn"t fit, I"m either going to have to alter it to fit, or give it away, because it is not feasible to send it back. This is one of the cases where I really should have gone with my gut feeling an not ordered it. It is wayyyyyyy too small. I am not a small woman, and usually wear a size 8 or 10 in dresses and skirts (6 on a good day, at Ann Taylor). This skirt fit NOTHING like the photo. It was ridiculous, actually. No poof. The box pleats just looked like sad little lumps at the waistline as the blue and white stretchy fabric strained to contain my ass. Also, when I put it on, the stretchy fabric was super stretchy, and comfortable, but most of the stitching snapped and I had a "bandage" skirt that looked like actual bandages, poorly wrapped, around some sort of blue-and-white mummy miniskirt. Anyway, since sending it back wasn"t an option, and I really liked the blue and white stripes, I just decided it would be a stretchy little miniskirt. This entailed me picking out the parts of the seams that had not already broken, and sewing the bands back together, then removing the goofy box pleats, and putting little waist darts in, then re-attaching the waistband. It took a few hours. The skirt is super cute, now. But this is probably not what the average skirt-buying American woman shopping on Amazon wants out of this skirt. Unless you are an 11-12 year old SEVERELY UNDERWEIGHT Asian girl, or you are willing to do some serious sewing gymnastics, you should avoid this skirt. Shipping was faster than they claimed, though. The stretchy bandage fabric is good quality, and the color is very pretty. Haven"t washed it yet, so can"t be sure it will stay that way. I suspect it"s going to bleed a lot, since the blue is very very blue.
