The retail price on this skirt is supposedly $70, and if I"d paid that, this skirt would have been sent back the same day. The bottom hem is not finished, and the interior seams are sloppy. While it is jersey material and the bottom probably won"t fray, and I guess no one sees the inside seams anyway, there are other retailers, Old Navy for example, that make jersey tube/pencil skirts for about the same $20-25 price, and they are fully hemmed. At least this skirt has a double layer of fabric, and the stripes are matched at the seams, so that"s a plus. But I"m really surprised by the unfinished hem, and it makes me wonder if I"ve got a counterfeit - it wouldn"t be the first time. Despite my irritation with the quality, I"m going to keep the skirt - it does fit, and I like the fabric, but I"ll have to see how the unfinished bottom holds up. Since I didn"t pay a lot, and I do know how to sew, it"s a relatively easy, albeit annoying, fix.
