The denim is nice weight, not too light but not too heavy either. Drapes very well. Waistband is very comfortable - elastic with functional tie laced inside to tighten. Two generous loose pockets not sewn to front skirt panel. I am 5"3" and the skirt goes to my ankles. Could very easily be hemmed to your preferred length. It is so comfortable that I would buy another to make shorter for summer even, so I could have both ways. I"m ordering more in the other colors, too! Fit is pretty true, maybe borderline larger, but that"s what makes it soooo comfortable!
